5th Meeting of the
U.S. Software System Safety Working Group

April 12th-14th 2005
Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim, CA USA

The next neeting of the USSSWG will be April 12-14 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California and is being sponsored by Disney. The meeting format will be similar to last year: We will provide a problem for small groups to work on together. This year the problem will be automotive. The results of the small groups will be presented to the larger group for comparison and discussion. The example application and questions to be answered will be available before the workshop so attendees can think about them beforehand (although that is not necessary). Each breakout session will start with a baseline document containing results of the previous step in the process to allow for more progress to be made.

The registration fee this year is $50 if you register by March 31. Registration at the door will be $100. To get early registration, fill out the registration form and mail it to oconaill@mit.edu along with a check.

Ground Rules for those with tools for "sale": To avoid hearing a lot of empty sales pitches, anyone who wants to advocate the use of a particular tool (such as a commercial tool or a particular type of formal methods) must provide a complete example of at least part of the example problem (it can be a small part, but hand waving and sales pitches unaccompanied by worked examples will not be allowed).

Hotel Information

The meeting will be held at the Disneyland Hotel, 1150 Magic Way, Anaheim, CA, 92802. Twenty rooms have been reserved for the event at a reduced rate of $139/night, plus a $10 resort fee.
